FAT  BURNING  DIET

This diet is from Sacred Heart Memorial Hospital and is used for
overweight patients to lose weight rapidly, usually before surgery.  
The diet is nutritionally sound but one multiple vitamin pill may 
be taken each day, if desired. The recipe for the fat burning soup 
is given below and must be eaten every day, long with the other 
foods that are listed for each day.

                  BASIC  FAT  BURNING  SOUP

6  large green onions ( or 2 med. )	2 green peppers
1 or 2 cans tomatoes			1 bunch of celery
1 large head of cabbage		        1 pkg. Lipton Soup Mix

Season with salt, curry, parsley, bouillon, or hot sauce, if desired.  
Cut vegetables in small pieces and cover with water.  Boil fast 
for 10 minutes, then lower heat to simmer and continue cooking 
until vegetables are tender.

This soup can be eaten any time you are hungry. Eat as much as you 
want,whenever you want.
This soup will not add calories; the more you eat of it the more 
you will lose ! If you are away during the day, fill a thermos to 
take with you. If this soup is eaten alone for indefinite periods,
you would suffer no malnutrition. If you would like some variety 
you might add soy sauce, garlic, or Old Bay Seasoning to individual 
servings of the soup.

By eating this soup and faithfully following the diet, you WILL 
lose 10 - 17 pounds in 7 days.

DAY ONE:  Eat all fruits, except bananas.  Cantaloupe and watermelon 
are lower in calories than other fruits, but you may eat any fruit 
except bananas. Eat only the soup and fruits on this day.  For 
drinks you may have unsweetened tea, cranberry juice, or water.

DAY TWO: Eat all vegetables. Eat until you are stuffed with fresh, 
raw,or canned vegetables. Try to eat green leafy vegetables and 
stay away from dry beans, peas, and corn. In addition to the 
vegetables, be sure to eat the soup. At dinner time today, reward 
yourself with a big baked potato and butter. Do not eat any fruits.

DAY THREE: Eat all the soup, fruit and vegetables you want. Do not 
have a baked potato today. If you have eaten the foods specified 
above for three days and have not cheated, you will find that you
have lost 5 - 7 pounds.

DAY FOUR: Bananas and skim milk. Eat as many as three bananas and
drink as many glasses of water as you can today, along with the 
soup. Bananas are high in calories and carbohydrates and so is the 
milk, but on this particular day your body will need the potassium, 
carbohydrates, proteins, and calcium to lesson your cravings for 
sweets.

DAY FIVE: Beef and tomatoes. You may have 10 - 20 ounces of beef 
and a can of tomatoes, or as many as 6 fresh tomatoes on this day.  
Try to drink at least 6 - 8 glasses of water today to wash away 
the uric acid in your body. Eat the soup at least once today.

DAY SIX: Beef and vegetables. Eat to your heart's content all the
beef and vegetables you want today. You can have 2 to 3 steaks if 
you like, with green leafy vegetables, but no baked potato. Be 
sure and eat the soup at least once today.

DAY SEVEN: Brown rice, unsweetened fruit juice, and vegetables. 
Again, stuff yourself. Be sure to have the soup at least once 
today.

AT THE END OF THE SEVENTH DAY, if you have not cheated on this 
diet, you will have lost 10 - 17 pounds. If you have lost more 
than 15 pounds, stay off the diet for two days before resuming 
the diet from day one.

This seven - day eating plan can be used as often as you like.  
As a matter of fact, if correctly followed, it will clean your 
system of impurities and give you a feeling of well - being as 
never before.

After only seven days of this process, you will begin to feel 
lighter by at least 10, possibly 17 pounds, and will have an 
abundance of energy. Continue this plan as long as you wish and 
feel the difference.

This diet is fast and fat - burning. The secret is that you will 
burn more calories than you take in. It will flush your system of 
impurities and give you a feeling of well - being.

This diet does not lend itself to drinking any alcoholic beverages 
at any time because of the removal of fat build - up in your system.  
Go off the diet at least 24 hours before any intake of alcohol.

Because everyone's digestive system is different, this diet will 
affect everyone differently.  After day three, you will have more
energy than when you began, IF YOU DID NOT CHEAT. After being on 
the diet for several days, you will find that your bowel movements 
have changed ... eat a cup of bran fiber. Although  you can have 
black coffee on this diet, you may find you don't need the caffeine 
after the third day.

Definite no - no's : No fried foods or bread. No alcohol, no 
carbonated drinks, including diet drinks. Stick with water, 
unsweetened  fruit juices, cranberry juice and skimmed milk.

That diet is fine for a quick loss for surgery, special occasions, etc.....

NOW I try to eat healthier, BUY healthier.

One thing I am doing is changing my daily liquid to GREEN TEA and V8Infusion

only. Maybe some water, but usually carry those small packets of Green Tea

and Propel and pour into the bottles. You know what NOT toeat. so find a good

plan and FOLLOW it. With just changing your Liquid, you can use 40 pounds a
